RAC launches multicar insurance to drive down cost of motoring

The RAC has launched its first multicar insurance package aimed at reducing the cost of motoring for those with more than one car registered at the same address.

RAC Multicar Insurance rewards customers who have more than one car in their household insured with RAC Insurance. This could save spouses, sons, daughters or housemates with cars registered at the same address a 10% discount for the second, third and fourth cars.

As the motoristís champion, the RAC is dedicated to helping drivers keep costs down and the new Multicar Insurance allows each policy holder to build their own separate no claims bonus for each car so individual no claims discount wonít be affected if another policyholder has a scrape. Whatís more, every car insured under RAC Multicar Insurance can keep its own renewal date too.

RAC Insurance director Mark Godfrey said: ìWeíve launched RAC Multicar Insurance to help make the process of buying insurance a smoother journey for all. We know that many of our customers live in multicar households and we are committed to making it easier for them, their friends and their families to insure their cars at the best possible price. Our multicar cover offers drivers a competitive way to keep costs down, whilst ensuring that their quality of cover  remains high thanks to our Car Insurance Plus product rated five star by Defaqto.î
