TUC
study
showed
that
the
average
amount
of
unsecured
debt
per
UK
household
had
reached
a
record
high
of
£12,887
by
the
end
of
2016.
In
this
infographic,
we
go
over
the
basic
facts
behind
this
in
an
attempt
to
explain
why
people
have
been
borrowing
more
and
more
in
recent
years,
and
to
understand
whether
this
news
is
a
wholly
negative
as
it
at
first
seems.
