MoneyExpert.com - Direct Line relaunches fixed mortgage range - 21/04/2006

Direct Line has launched a new range of fixed rate mortgage deals, packaged with free home emergency cover and discounted home insurance for two years.

The company's most popular offer, the two year fix, has been re-launched priced at 4.49 per cent, one of the best mortgage rate deals around.

The three year fix is now available at 4.84 per cent and the five year at 4.89 per cent.

All these deals are provided with 20 per cent off Direct Line home insurance and two years free emergency cover with a minimum value of £142.

This will cover the costs of call outs, advice and parts and labour up to the value of £1,000 per emergency for plumbing, drainage and electrical problems, excluding heating.

"Customers are pleasantly surprised that they only need to take the insurance if it suits them," said David Dyer of Direct Line.

"These rates offer excellent value for money for customers who want fixed or variable deals but on top of that, they get even better value if they take up the home insurance discount and the free home emergency cover."
