New incentive for credit card customers - 20/08/2008
Halifax has introduced an incentive for consumers to sign up to its
credit card
offer.
The All-in-One card previously came without interest for the first ten months, but until September 21st the bank is extending the offer to 11 months.
Applying to balance transfers and purchases, the bonus is aimed at customers who transfer their
current accounts
, as well as existing ones that credit their account with at least £1,000 each month.
Head of Halifax Card Services Ken Stannard said it would help people seeking to reduce outstanding debt through a balance transfer, as well as lower the cost of spending.
"We're delighted to offer this exclusive All-in-One
credit card
deal to our new and existing
current account
customers. It's a fantastic offer which could save our customers hundreds of pounds in interest payments," he stated.
Last month it emerged that MBNA customers were facing large interest rate charges after promotional periods ended, with some being charged as much as 34.9 per cent.
