Marks & Spencer Money has been named best credit card provider for the third year running at the Your Money Direct Awards.

Consumers also voted M&S Money best online travel insurance provider and best personal loan provider, with judges commenting on the ease of the application process.

Features of the company's credit card service include reward points and an offer to pay no interest on purchases within the first six months, while the travel insurance package includes an online medical screening facility.

Deputy chief executive Andy Ripley commented: "We always welcome feedback from customers who try our service, which makes these awards more meaningful. However, we are not complacent and we always strive to enhance our service."

Marks & Spencer issued a profit warning this month, as shares dropped 20 per cent following the announcement that food sales had dropped 4.5 per cent in the first half of the year.
